First of all, Happy new year. I am not really into the whole new year celebration, and I most certainly don't think that just because a digit gets changed in an arbitrary number, suddenly there will be no more wars, no more tragical events, no more hunger... So it's a bit hard for me to get in the celebration craze, and we spent a quiet evening. Nonetheless, happy new year to all readers and may next year bring you and your families what you all wish :-)
Today, to start the year, I had a nice surprise in the (e)mail: I got a MVP award from Microsoft for my activities in the online community, including this blog and my participation to a few newsgroups (ASP.NET, C#, WPF, scripting) and forums. It's a great honor for me to get this award, after a pretty amazing year. Obviously, the decisive moment for me last year has been my taking part to MIX06 and learning what WPF, XAML, ATLAS and many more were promising. After coming back to Switzerland, I have been able to work with these technologies both professionally and in my free time.
I am very excited about next year, and will do my best to keep up the good work and improve the quality of my answers continuously in order to help the online community.

    Thank you all!

@Jeff: I don't know if I will attend yet. I would love to, but I am located in Switzerland and I have young kids, so each trip to the US needs careful planning. Additionally, I have to go already a few times for my job, so... I'll see :-) If I come, I'll let you know.
